Meet Nigella Lawson on November 11 and enjoy a delicious meal from her newest book, Nigella Kitchen, prepared by Chef Scott Shully at this special event at Shully's Cuisine & Events in Thiensville! Your ticket includes admission to the event, lunch, and a signed copy of Nigella Kitchen. Following the meal, Nigella Lawson will take part in a discussion moderated by Next Chapter Bookshop owner Lanora Hurley.

Buddy Valastro, author of Cake Boss
Most people know Buddy Valastro as the Cake Boss, star of the TLC series of the same name. Over three seasons, his memorable Italian family has also become familiar to viewers. Now, Cake BossValastro lets us in for a more personal look at their history. With the same fire, humor and charm as the show, Cake Boss regales readers with memories and inspires home bakers to higher edible art with twenty-five recipes, straight from Carlo’s Bakery and the Valastro family.
 
Buddy Valastro’s appearance will be for a book signing only. Purchase of his new book gets customers a ticket into the signing line.
 
Author bio: Buddy Valastro, aka The Cake Boss, is a fourth-generation master baker who has been the head of Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken New Jersey, for 16 years. His award-winning creations are legendary, and his customers range from celebrities to ordinary folks who want to feel like celebrities.

Laurel Snyder, author of Baxter, the Pig Who Wanted to Be Kosher

A Family Program -will feature Laurel Snyder, author of “Baxter, the Pig Who Wanted to Be Kosher”. This is a PJ Library Selection. At 5:00 pm, a buffet supper will be available for purchase at special family rates. This program will also include a PJ Party with refreshments for the kids as well as interactive audience participation. Snyder also wrote, “Inside the Slidy Diner”, “Any Which Wall” and “Up and Down the Scratchy Mountains”.

If the event was GF, I would definitely have gone to it! But I fall too easily for gluten goodies, so I've decided I'm only allowed GF cookbooks and goodies. :-)
