On why not to miss reading events

So, I missed Katrina Kittle's reading event at Next Chapter on Tuesday. I was a bit crabby about it. Her book, The Blessings of the Animals, is the sweetest of reads. But don't take my word for it:

“A must-read not only for animal lovers, but for anyone who has found the courage to come back from heartbreak and find love again, without reservation, without fear.”
—Sara Gruen, New York Times bestselling author of Water for Elephants

Now that's an endorsement! :-) Anyway, I was a bit sulky about not making it, but decided to put my big girl pants on and get over it. Which I did. Until I started tweeting with Katrina and she shared some photos of her event with me:

THERE WAS A PUPPY AT THE EVENT! *sigh* So, if you missed the event as well, and want to opt out of the wallowing, well, you can still pick up a copy of Katrina's kick butt book, and you can read her thoughts on our fair city, as well as her affinity for the word Oconomowoc here.

Oconomowoc! It is pretty fun to say, isn't it?
