Weekend Event w/LOCAL WRITER!

Sunday, August 15, 2pm @ Boswell Book Company

Local writer and book lover Marilyn McKnight is looking for participants in her "Lifetime of Reading" project (and eventual book). Bring your three favorite Marilyn McKnightbooks to discuss. From The Giver to The Road, Gone with the Wind to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, these are the books that have stayed with you over the years, and maybe even changed your life.

About the host: Marilyn McKnight has lived and traveled around the world as a teacher in Colombia, a Fulbright exchange teacher in Finland, a teacher trainer with the Peace Corps in the Philippines and a grateful visitor with family and friends in numerous other amazing places. Marilyn received her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her master's degree in Education from Harvard University. Her real infatuation for reading and excitement about books and ideas began during her years in the Peace Corps. Marilyn describes her reading habit and choices as eclectic, including such diverse books as The Artist's Way, Frames of Mind, The Agony and Ecstasy, and the first choice in her list of "favorites", The Little Prince.
