Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer may recognize Nancy Holder as the author of dozens of books set in the Buffy universe. With Crusade, she and collaborator Debbie Viguié (the pair also worked together on books in the Wicked series for teen readers) take vampire hunting to San Francisco where Jenn, a young woman who has trained at Spain's Sacred Heart Academy Against the Cursed Ones, discovers that the city is now a vampire stronghold. As a lone hunter apart from her team, Jenn is isolated and at risk.
